Product Description

Special graphite materials can be divided into two types based on material structure: medium-coarse structured graphite and fine-grained graphite. The medium-coarse structured graphite is mainly formed by vibration molding, which is exactly the EDM graphite electrode provided by VeTek Semiconductor, and is mostly used in the chemical industry, metal smelting, etc.

EDM graphite electrode is prepared by vibration method. The vibration method relies on a vibrating table to vibrate the container containing the powder to make it dense. Usually, a heavy hammer is used to apply a small pressure to the powder during vibration molding to achieve the purpose of improving the stacking state and increasing the density of the product. Since the pressure on the powder in this molding method is very small, the particle fluidity is low and no preferential orientation is produced, so the graphite produced by vibration molding is mostly isotropic-graphite.

● First prepare the graphite raw material: select high-purity graphite particles, add different additives, and mix them evenly in a certain proportion.

● Molding: Put the mixed material into the graphite vibration molding equipment and compress it into the desired shape through vibration force. This step is the core of the vibration molding process. By controlling the vibration frequency and amplitude, the density and structure of the graphite blank can be accurately controlled.

● Drying: Dry the formed graphite blank to remove the moisture and volatiles in it to ensure the stability and durability of the graphite block.

● Finishing: Further process the dried graphite blank, including cutting, trimming, grinding, etc., to obtain the required graphite block size and shape.
